NEWS
Sunday November 29th at
3 p.m., Al Fedak will present a recital of rare and forgotten
organ masterworks, all colorful, pleasing to the ear, and
perfectly suited for performance on our fine Skinner organ.
And all the pieces were purchased on eBay! Admission is free,
a reception will follow, and an offering will be received to
benefit Leupold Foundation. Come hear this delightful and
unusual program!
Pledges: As of Nov. 24,
we have received 87 pledges totalling $168,353. If you have
not yet made a pledge please consider filling out a card
during the welcome and placing it in the offering plate. Help
us to meet our goals of 120 pledges and $ 200,000.
Shoe Boxes: Westminster
members and their friends and families are invited on Nov. 29
or Dec. 6 to pick up one or more of the 70 shoe boxes we’re
filling for Schuyler Inn families. Deadline for return of shoe
boxes: Dec. 13. There are now 40 families in the emergency
shelter program at Schuyler Inn, including 53 children age 5
and younger. Other churches and groups are arranging for gifts
for an additional 90 Schuyler residents. Contact the church
office, Marianne Rings or Lois Wilson, if you want one or more
shoe boxes – and you won’t be at WPC on Nov. 29 or Dec. 6.
Holiday Baskets:
Donations are being collected to help provide holiday baskets
to the FOCUS Interfaith Food Pantry clients. Cost to fill an
average basket is approximately $ 25. You may use the colorful
envelopes in the pews for your donation and place them in the
offering.
Christmas Memorial
Flowers: Donations for the Christmas flowers in the sanctuary
are now being taken. The names of those being memorialized
will be printed in the bulletin on Dec. 20. Suggested donation
is $35. You may place your request in the offering plate or
call the office.
December 20, Christmas
Party: Join Santa Myron at the Schuyler Inn Christmas party.
Set-up at 1 p.m. with party from 2 to 4 p.m. To volunteer,
contact the church office, Marianne Rings, or Lois Wilson.
