Youth Group Flamingo Fundraiser
Furious Flamingos! We have all seen them - the two-foot-tall pink birds on stilts jammed in yards and gardens throughout the country. Love them or not, these bastions of Americana are recognizable wherever one is.
Throughout January and February, you, too, can participate in the noble tradition of flamingo planting. Rent a flock of flamingos for a weekend and the youth of the church will plant the flock wherever you choose. Support the WPC Youth Group mission trip to the Pittsburgh Project in the summer of this year -- and have some furious flamingos planted in your neighbor’s yard! We can even flock apartment buildings.
Angry at the birds? Purchase flamingo insurance instead to avoid getting flamingos in your own yard -- either way, you can sign up after Sunday services in the Welles room, or by emailing Andrea Holroyd and Eugene Sit.
Flocks of flamingos will be placed on the following Saturday afternoons/evenings in January and February: Jan 21, Jan 28, Feb 4, Feb 11, and Feb 18. Flocks will remain in place for approximately one week and be removed the following Saturday (unless an early removal is requested).
Prices
When requesting that flamingos be placed:
$20 to rent a flock of 5 birds
$10 to request a specific date for flocking

$60 Flamingo Insurance -- Covers all Five Weeks!!
