Melodie et Poesie Recital

Picture
On Sunday afternoon, January 29, at 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary, soprano Jennifer Lien, accompanied by pianist Eric Malson, will present a recital of French song, entitled Mélodie et poésie. The program will include selections by 19 different French composers of the 19th and 20th centuries.

A native of Singapore, Jennifer Lien holds degrees from Dartmouth College, San José State University, and the University of Wisconsin, where she is currently a candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Voice. She has sung with numerous opera companies in Singapore, Florida, and the San Francisco area, where she lived for several years. She is active as an oratorio soloist and recitalist, having performed in these genres both here and abroad. She is also an alumna of the Seagle Music Colony.

Pianist Eric Malson has appeared in concert with major orchetras and in prominent music festivals around the globe, and has accompanied some of the world’s finest singers. He has served on the staff of various European and American opera companies, and has been a member of the faculties of the Juilliard School and the Mannes School of Music.

Ms. Lien and Mr. Malson will repeat their program together the following Tuesday evening at Union College. But their performance at Westminster will be free of charge. (However, donations are still always welcome!)

All are invited!
