Church School

Pre K-2nd Grade

For our youngest members in the "Godly Play" class, we are introducing the Whirl Classroom Sunday School curriculum. Whirl is a lectionary-based curriculum. One of the goals is to connect children to church life. Children learn about the church year and watch a video with animated characters who model what it’s like for children to go through the questions and challenges of living out their faith.

3rd - 6th Grade

The "We Believe" class for 3rd – 6th graders is using the Whirl Classroom Sunday School curriculum. Whirl is a lectionary-based curriculum. One of the goals is to connect children to church life. Children learn about the church year and watch a video with animated characters who model what it’s like for children to go through the questions and challenges of living out their faith.

7th - 12th Grade

The 7th-12th grade class on Sunday mornings uses the Faithfully Asking Questions curriculum from the Presby Youth curriculum published by the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is available for download.  In this class, we explore topics such as God’s Justice as found in the Psalms and Prophets and how Jesus taught through parables and stories. Snacks are always provided!

YOUTH GROUP

We meet to hang out, play games and grow in our Christian discipleship. You know, it’s Youth Group! We also get together for lock-ins, parties,

retreats, and mission work. Click below to find out what's coming up!

YOUTH MISSION

The Youth Group is involved in the community and serve others as a response to their love for God. Our youth have served in Pittsburgh doing home repair projects, in New Jersey doing disaster relief after Sandy, and right here in Albany working on vacant lots with our community partners. We hope to make a difference in our community and raise young disciples who see service as a cornerstone of their faith.
