Westminster 2018 Stewardship Campaign: Building a House of Prayer for All Peoples

Oct 2, 2017

Westminster is a special place. Our diversity makes us stand out within the presbytery and the denomination and it may seem as though diversity is a modern virtue for the church to uphold. In reality, Westminster’s diversity represents a return to one of our faith traditions oldest examples of the community of faith. The Prophet Isaiah living in the 8th Century BC instructed Israel in Isaiah 56:7 saying: Even those I will bring to My holy mountain And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar; For My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples. ~Isaiah 56:7 As we complete our capital campaign and plan our annual stewardship pledge drive, the words of the prophet seem particularly appropriate for us. Together we are building the faith community Isaiah envisioned – a House of Prayer for All Peoples! Your continuing financial support is what allows us to continue our ministry and outreach to every facet of our community. Your gifts and tithes make everything we do possible. As you think about your pledge for the coming year, please think about the community we are today, and the community we aspire to become tomorrow. You will find the 2018 pledge card online at our Give page or you can fill out your pledge form online. Let us truly build a House of Prayer for All Peoples!
